Call to order and Welcome.

Committee Reports
Nominations
- No suggestions for nominations to date.
- Seeking recommendations for a cull for nominations.
Program and Education
- Dr. George Burton confirmed to speak.
- Committee is looking at the CEU approval process to make consistent
with AARC.
- Position of CEU reviewer no longer be a paid position: volunteers
have come forward to help.
- The first informational mailing has gone out to exhibitors.
Scholarship
- Committee met in March.
- Recommending $6.500 to be allocated for scholarships ($4.500 for RT
programs-9/$500.00,1 per school: 2/$1000.00 for educational Advancement).
- Discussion regarding qualifications and the application process.
- Some changes have been made for the requirements of the essay.
- Lynn Sullivan will be delivering applications to schools during her
marketing forCamp Chestnut. Applications will also be mailed to schools.
- Applications will be accepted from the time they receive the application
until August 1,1998.
Membership
- Madeleine is in the process of selecting a Membership Chairperson
MTS
- Annual Meeting on 3-25-98. Burlington Marriot.
- 6.6 contact hours will be awarded.
- MSRC is sponsoring the lecture on Lung Volume Reduction Surgery.
Public Relations
- Discussion with z possible candidate for this committee continues
Home Care
- Still seeking a volunteer for the committee
Pneumonics
- Next issue is at the printer, We will see it end of March or early
April.
Perinatal/Pediatrics
- Reaching out for meeting sites in other Dart of state, as they have
expressed an interest in putting meetings together.
HP/DP
- Recruitment has begun for Camp Chestnut. August 22-August 29.1998,
in Beckett, Ma.
- Open house scheduled for May 17.1998 from 12:00-3:00 pm.
- Questions regarding background checks on councilors.
- Larrissa MacDonald is working closely with Lynn to train for Lead councilor
Continuing Care/Rehabilitation
- Plans to get a meeting together.
- CEU programs for sub-acute are in the works.
Chapter Reports
Chapter2
- Annual meeting scheduled for April 29.1998 at Christos 11 in Brockton
6 contact hours will be awarded Members $25. non members $50 lunch is included
Martha Dasilva is coordinating the event. Kathy Wood is the president of
the chapter.
Old Business
Executive Office
- New voice mail in place, Bill gave an overview of the function of the
system.
- Will be adding caller ID and Paging feature.
- Will monitor expense over the next few months
By-Laws Revisions
- Drafting up the revisions with recommendations.
- The draft will be sent out prior to the next BOD meeting. Further discussion
can then be mode. and finally vote on the rev revisions.
- Membership will receive a copy.
- The goal will be to have the revisions in place by the end of the year.
Website Proposal
- Many inquiries have been made regarding job postings. Discussion regarding
a fee structure to post job listing.
- Expectations of the Website will be drafted.
Annual Meeting Survey Results
- Details of the survey are not available for this meeting.
- Efforts being made to coordinate a project to include points of interest,
volunteers, and possibly direction for the society.

AARC Officiary
- Resource book made available. Contact Madeleine if you are interested
in seeing it.
