Massachusetts Pulmonary Section Goes Virtual to Educate Healthcare Professionals on the Latest in Lung Health, COVID-19 

Boston, MA – (Feb 15, 2021) – The American Lung Association will host its Massachusetts Pulmonary Section Annual Meeting, set for Wednesday, April 7, 2021, from 8a.m. to 2 p.m. as a virtual conference to educate healthcare professionals on the latest research, trends and care for a variety of lung diseases and lung health issues. The conference typically takes place in Boston, but was reimagined as an interactive virtual event to maintain participant safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Massachusetts Pulmonary Section is a continuing medical education conference. The goal of this conference is to improve the care of patients with pulmonary and critical care related issues by providing health professionals with increased knowledge and skills around new advances, best practice, treatments and services.

This year’s conference will include discussions and lectures on:

  • Data Sharing in Clinical Trials

  • Early Disease Detection for Pulmonary Fibrosis: New Insights

  • Air Quality, Climate Change, and Respiratory Health: Implications for Practicing Pulmonologists

  • Pulmonary Manifestation in Neuromuscular Diseases

  • The Vicissitudes of Vaping
